Another Bungle In The Haringey Jungle

By The Boy -

He is training with the Under-21s. He is not with the first team because he wanted to leave. I think I explained very well. If he wanted to leave, he can come and see me, I say: ‘OK you can leave.’

He is waiting to try to find a place away from Tottenham. But there is nothing to do. We share the changing room and the restaurants all together. It’s not a problem.

Only that the rule is very clear: If you are not part of my plans, why are you training with us? He understands very well, like any other player. It is not a big issue, not a problem. Sometimes it looks like a big, big issue, but it is very normal in football.

So I ask the same question in what, the space of just 3 or 4 days…

Can anyone explain this latest Bungle In The Haringey Jungle to me?

  •  We bring Bentaleb into the fold.
  •  The boy’s a rough diamond, but there is clearly a belief within the club that he’s on the right path and as an asset, he needs protecting
  • We get him to sign a rather swanky 5 year contract.
  • The guy subsequently goes rogue on us. He makes Jason Bourne look like planned for collateral damage.

This entire situation appears as irrational as it is mystifying.

Gladys was right, no fakir is interested in buying him.

This is the Levy way.

The path of least resistance – which as anyone over the age of 30 knows –  is the path of greatest expense.

Despite dipstick Bentley, the fantasist Adebayor and the Nazi Benny, we keep nurturing these cancerous weaklings.

My my, what ever could be the common link?

We’re a badly run version of Arsenal in so many ways it hurts.
