Pochettino might be the nest thing since sliced salami, he might be a slab of time expired baloney.

Given the discombobulated bun fight that is his player roster, it’s difficult to say with any degree of certainty.

It’s east to point at what doesn’t work, but is that actually helpful, when that’s like shooting fish in a barrel?

Great to see Hugo back.

I wonder if the enthusiasm was reciprocal? Vorm might be good, but to me he just looks like a better turned out version of Rob Green.

The Mason/Bentaleb axis doesn’t particularly work.

I mean it might look substantial enough in training against people who are pulling tackles and not really giving it their upmost, but in the Premier  League against some talent that has its wits about it, the pair look vulnerable. Especially so in the case of Mason.

Bentaleb has more steel about him, but the point is, Poch is getting this wrong and they need help from the start, not eventually after an hour.

Dier’s assist brace is welcomed, but out attacking wing back thing  too often smacks of predictability. Especially when it is so unbalanced in the form of a poor man’s James Milner. That’s the fault if the instruction, not the individual making the plays.

Ben Davies perpetuated the Spinal Tap drummer legacy and duly self destructed, like Bonzo before him. Vertonghen was finger pointing again. I make him well within his rights to do so, in front of our back four there’s not so much a welcome matt, as beautifully laid out picnic.

The absence of Mousa in starting line-ups is beginning to drag; Stambouli in the witness protection program then, is he?

Eriksen’s lightweight contribution to the season is something I mention in this week’s HHH. It’s something that will be debated. He’s scored 10 league goals. The same amount as Wayne Rooney. But I’d argue that Rooney’s all-round contributions to MUFC are superior. If you look beyond the goals, especially the occasional jaw dropping free kicks, young Christian’s offering are as thin as his hair used to be.

Kane had another game of getting nowhere. Is he tired, or just bored? His runs are becoming increasingly Defoe-esque. He needs to watch a reel of his goals this season and understand that they had more to them than make a yard and wallop.

The sooner this is all over and we get back to what we do best, which us ooh and aah at what is entirely unlikely to happen in the transfer window, the better.

Briefly on that, if we get served up yet another fairy tale of 11th hour deals falling through, and lack of sales hindering purchases; I’ll be advocating direct action against the owners. What the flip is the point of building an iconic venue, when we’ve little worth watching to home in it?

I hope the chairman is being forced to watch our games, over and over again.

A blog explaining why Milton Keynes is potentially Levy’s meisterstück is on its way.
