I like people that factor in player wages when it comes to football transfers.

They are the seers, the wise men. The rational thinkers in the otherwise all too often screamy shoutathon of the I wanna, I wanna of the transfer windows.

It is not a case of transfer fee’s holding us back, it’s the wage bill. There is some money available to spend and has been for ages, but the squad is far to bloated and wages are at the maximum.

Shift a few on and we can bring some in simple as that. The fact we have to move players on though, will probably end up showing very little in terms of Net spend . We will only get 2-3 in but would like 5-6 moved on in January alone.

The above from our friend Trix on COYS, and again one (a nasty cynical one like me) cannot help but feel that this information could have been spoon fed from the very THFC boardroom itself…

The money we allegedly have ‘to spend’ is neglible to the point of being fictional. It’s the shuffling the deckchairs on the good ship Titanic Lollypop that will bring about any tangible change to our playing personnel.

To be blunt, we won’t retain the services of say, Adebayor and ship in another striker with say, a £20million plus pricetag. Because whilst we might be capable of rustling up the odd £20M or so – we won’t be able to credibly store and feed said signing.

ENIC’s other underlying problem is weighing off what we owe to clubs we buy from, before they die of boredom. To the best of my knowledge we’ve agreed terms with enough players to fill Gemma Collins’ underwear drawer.

No apology from me on the endless ENIC bashing.

Until our support wakes up to the continuous source of our problems, the sooner we might start to get ourselves out of this fix.
