Tottenham remain in talks with Marseille over winger Georges-Kevin Nkoudou after the transfer stalled following the resignation of the French club’s president Vincent Labrune last month.

Marseille wanted Clinton Njie to move in the opposite direction but Pochettino says the forward is still in his plans. Nabil Bentaleb, however, continues to train with the under-21s and has been told to find a new club.

“They are still our players,” Pochettino said. “I was clear about Bentaleb, he’s not in my plans, but Clinton is in my squad and he’s in my plans.”

Mousa Dembele remains suspended for the visit of Palace but Son Heung-min could feature after returning from the Olympic Games. The forward’s fitness will be assessed on Friday.

So at the risk of boring even myself, to redcap…

We’re still ‘in the process’ of signing a player would would struggle to walk into any more or less any Premier League team’s starting XI.

Clinton Cards isn’t being handed his sandwiches wrapped in a road map after all.

No no no. In this Champions League season, it is N’Jie the wonder haircut that we have wisely decide to hang on to.

Spurs could get one of those Investor In People plaques.

And the cherry on this eye spinning craziness, is that 2 weeks into the season and with just 2 weeks of the transfer window remaining, we are still trying to move on a player that hasn’t played since January and that has a valid contract with us until 2020.

Some people may knock, but you cannot deny that this is an incredibly well run club.
