A Stone In Spurs’ Shoe.

By The Boy -

Having a shufty online, it strikes me that there is too much being made of this whole ‘Harry Kane is dead’ deal.

It’s very easy to clutch the inherent misery in the reports citing that there is no firm timeline for the return of Kane.

An alternate view is that THFC actually do well with players who get struck out, but are genuinely keen to return.

We’re strong and bringing players back, we employ all manner of tricks of the trade including blood rinsing etc, so I’ll reserve the right to twist my knickers another time, if that’s alright with you.

He’s hurt his ankle, not been decapitated. He’ll be back.

More importantly, Kane had become a stone in Spurs’ shoe.

Form is temporary blah blah, Golden Boot bloke, 50 goal gourmet, strikers have to be greedy …I’ve heard it all.

The reality is he hadn’t been a truly useful member of the Spurs Society for some considerable time.

No, him bending his ankle out of shape wasn’t a blessing; but nor is it the End Of Days.

When they feel like it, we have quite a few players who can score, and score good goals. More to the point, we have the boy Vinny.

Janssen is a more than capable character to step up to the plate, furthermore, it ought be gratefully acknowledged that he is quite probably more likely to succeed …unhindered.

Pochettino ought to have rested Kane some time ago, so think of this as wonderful case of ‘doing the right thing’ being thrust upon him.

Gillingham is a perfect game for Spurs to regroup before the business starts again.

Let’s get on with it.
