A Relapse At Old Trafford Wouldn’t Be So Bad

By The Boy -

Clive Allen on 5Live sounded like he was describing Spurs wining the Champions League final against Real Madrid:

“The finish was unbelievable from Son. Swivelling, on the volley, what a magnificent volley from Son to blast it into the top corner.

“They were maybe a little lucky with the penalty but the second goal was spectacular from Son Hueng-min. There’s been a distinct lack of opportunity for Swansea.”

“This could have been double figures with the chances Spurs have created in the second half. That goal was too easy, Sissoko wasn’t tracked and he had time to control it and roll it into Eriksen’s path.”

Poch was equally buoyant.

I think that we fully deserved the result,” Pochettino said. “We dominated, we created chances, they didn’t shoot, they didn’t create chances and I think it was a very good performance. I am happy because we got three points which was important after Chelsea and Monaco.

“I don’t believe it was the best [performance] but I think it was good because it is always good to get three points and keep near the top.

“We have ahead very important games and confidence is back.”

I don’t believe confidence was the issue.

Swansea City are abject, abysmal and ought to be automatically annexed from the Premier League for being awful.

Monaco and Chelsea are light years removed from Swansea City.

Chelsea are top of the league and in fearsome form.

Monaco are an actual Champions League side.

Manchester United however are still unreliable and still scrambling to remain relevant.

Unlike many of you clowns, I don’t believe a point at Old Trafford will be good enough.

If the wind is really in our sails, then we’ll do more than bumble about in Manchester.

But a relapse wouldn’t be so bad, after such an emphatic win.
