A Fascinating Quote To Put It Mildly

By The Boy -

“My future is linked to Mauricio’s, that is a certainty,” Lloris, who is on international duty with France, told Le Figaro.

“He matters a lot to me and our relationship goes beyond football – it is a partnership.

“His presence and our relationship are the most important elements for me. One day he will be the best manager in the world and for me he is already.”

Whilst this is all very chummy, being the budding sociopath that I am, I cannot help but wonder if there is a ‘beyond Tottenham’ flavour to al this.

That might be a unreasonable interpretation, but should Spurs continue to fail to win trophies surely it would be perfectly natural for Poch to move on to a club that would match his ambitions to be successful?

In the land of the grown ups, chipping away at ‘top four finishes’ is ultimately unsatisfying.

As for Poch, anyone reading this who thinks he got home at night and say to his wife, ‘oh you should see our net spend and how we were in the 90s, theese is futbol…‘ needs their head looking at.
