Good evening and welcome the End Of Days.

I am Beelzebub and I believe you already know my co-host Davina McColl.

Gladys has just spoken this evening with an estate agent to the stars – and that company was …showing one Gareth Bale around some family homes in North London.

Whatever could this mean?

I guess once the fumes of a Chick King £2.99 box get up your hooter, it is difficult to ever truly blow them away.

It is nigh on impossible to elaborate about the properties etc without blowing the source.

Gareth Bale could well be ready to return to the Premier League after 5 highly successful years in La Liga.

Will he mark his last appearance for Madrid with a fourth Champions League medal?

Kindly note that the specific individual doing the viewings has shared no information with this blog.

Rather, this highly informed gossip comes from a very closely associated source who is able to confirm that the viewings took place very very recently.

Passed on in exceptionally good faith.

Travelling to Cardiff this afternoon celebrating my mothers 21st! birthday with close family coinciding with Sunday going to the Hay on Wye book festival seeing:-
Former Israel PM Ehud Barak and
Michael Wollf (author of that imfamous book Fire and Fury on Donald Trump).
    Nice to see you Stormy!!
As I am incognito over the weekend please store any missed targets for my return on Monday.

      You’re mother’s 21st.

This raises some interesting questions Davy D. You are very precocious for a five year old.

This would be just about the biggest statement we could make and going into the new place it would lift the spirits of everyone associated with the club. Not to mention the marketing! Oh and wouldn’t exactly hurt with player recruitment or retention either would it? People forget what an absolute monster of a player Gareth Bale is, this guy guarantees the same amount of points per season as having de gea. He’s a winner, through and through, has the same work ethic and general attitude as HK plus the pots to go with it. Just putting his name on the team sheet has opposing managers wondering if they should assign one, two or three defenders to cover him. Make no mistake Gareth Bale is World Class and nowhere near over the hill.

On the subject of money, it’s definitely possible via bonuses, personal image rights, % of shirt sales, all sorts of stuff over and above the 175k a week basic he’d probably end up on. And just think what has GB got left to prove? He’s won everything and is a millionaire many many times over, and if his heart is set on coming back to the UK, then what better story than to return a hero at Spurs and lead us into the new destination.

    • Accy May 25, 2018 at 8:49 am

      well said.

I can’t remember who said, “Are the people who want 29 year-old Toby signed up immediately the same people that think 29 year-old Bale is over the hill?”

      • Harry Hotspur May 25, 2018 at 8:55 am

Are they the same people that said Toby was a crock? 😆

      • paul May 25, 2018 at 9:01 am

But we’re so good at getting injured players back on their feet!

    • Ronan May 25, 2018 at 9:03 am

He’s one of the few number of players in the world almost guaranteed to make the difference. So I can’t see Madrid letting him go, and even less us getting him if they did.

  • Camus May 25, 2018 at 8:12 am

    Say it ain’t so, H…
Everything crossed that this is just a red herring.

I think that the Summit between Poch and Levy has been called off. They both insist you dismantle your list DD unilaterally. They make no promises of meeting in the future..

To great chess moves. Trump on Kim and Levy in Poch……

    So links to Ahmed Hegazi?

Highly rated defender, apparently. Considering WBA had him AND highly rated defender Jonny Evans at the heart of their defence, how come they ended up bottom?

    Hogwash.

      YO!! Mexipoch!

  • Finn May 25, 2018 at 4:07 am

Excellent news on Poch and I suspect a few other contracts will be done very soon now senior players are assured of no imminent changes in leadership.

What remains to be seen of course is how far Levy has shifted towards a philosophy of moving the team forwards towards the next stage of the project or Poch has shifted towards maintaining a “we’re comfortably afloat – let’s not rock the boat” status quo.

    • MiT May 25, 2018 at 5:22 am

Right – curious to see where the balance settles between Levy’s old ways, and Poch’s need for better focus on quality in early over bargain shopping.

I am very much on the fence with Bale — I think his game down the wing with all that pace will free Kane up in the middle immensely, and they’d work beautifully together. However, how in the world can Spurs bring in Bale and yet keep a reasonable wage structure together ?

I can’t see it, but would love for them to find a decent balance there if it is attainable.

      Que sera sera.

        • Aussie in Switzerland May 25, 2018 at 8:03 am

That name is to be forever forgotten. His wife suffered a miscarriage 2 weeks after the stress of that tour which was highlighted by personal abuse about his wife. A one year ban is about 11 and a half months longer than penalties handed out by every other major cricket nation for the same crime, including the blindsided captain (and worlds tip ranked batsman).

          • Gus May 25, 2018 at 8:06 am

That was a major over reaction by the ACB. He can’t catch a break, once you play the role of attack dog people are much less willing to forget and forgive

            • Aussie in Switzerland May 25, 2018 at 8:08 am

Truth me told, he is a toxic individual on his last chance anyway. I think him punching Jo Root (the smallest England player) showed his west Sydney class

              • Aussie in Switzerland May 25, 2018 at 8:09 am

Cricket stars are held to a different standard in Australia. We don’t give Australian of the year awards to doctors, we give it to cricket captains

Yes, you expect to win by any means, but you don’t want to see your cricketers caught out in the act. See no evil…..

Dismiss Arse at our peril as Emery will make them a stronger outfit next season!

      • ronwol96061 May 25, 2018 at 1:50 am

Emery is a bit rough around the edges

      • Syd May 25, 2018 at 2:36 am

If Arsenal are any better it will be because they buy well in the window, not because of emery who i think will not be any better than Wenger

        • dilly May 25, 2018 at 2:42 am

Given the potency of their attack presumably Emery will be immediately focusing on strengthening the weak Defence.

This is a much better story. Wonder if my better half would be amenable to this:

Legendary football star Ronaldinho will marry two women at the same time, according to reports in Brazil. The former PSG and Barcelona playmaker is set to wed fiancées Priscilla Coelho and Beatriz Souza in August. He has apparently been living ‘harmoniously’ with his pair of girlfriends since December at his mansion in Rio de Janeiro. Ronaldinho is said to have started dating Beatriz in 2016 while he was already in a relationship with Priscilla. Both women are afforded an allowance to spend as they wish and are showered with identical gifts by the Samba star.

    • ronwol96061 May 25, 2018 at 1:54 am

    • dilly May 25, 2018 at 12:44 am

      +1

  • Urbane Sturgeon May 25, 2018 at 12:31 am

So Bale has become just another very rich person investing in the London property market. So far so unsurprising. I simply can’t see past the wage issue; it looks insurmountable.

Should his return somehow turn out to be a reality however, I would welcome it despite his sensitive thoroughbred physique problem, as I haven’t forgotten just how good he is, or how his presence affects the team, and opposition.

  • dilly May 25, 2018 at 12:21 am

Living in hope that we make such an astute signing having mentioned our link to this player in dispatches apparently Manure are unsure if they will pursue Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic after the Italian club put a £87.5m price tag on the 23-year-old Serbia international. (Mail)

  • Spursy May 24, 2018 at 11:41 pm

    • gus May 24, 2018 at 11:43 pm

If they are making room for Neymar this might be real. I don’t believe it unless photos emerge of Bale being shown around the New Destination

Many on here said this couldn’t happen “why would he come back on a huge wage reduction?” I won’t jump the gun but if this does transpire then that is a firm show of intent from Levy & co.A safe gamble some would say but a statement none the less

Exactly what I said, huge signing on fee & personal sponsorship.I don’t know if still the case but players who signed for Madrid years ago had to sign all sponsorship over to the club.so if he owns his own rights & didn’t at Madrid,he’d be better off already

Accy IMO Wanyama is a weak link!

        • Accy May 24, 2018 at 11:25 pm

He’s been playing with injury Dilly. In 16/17 he was our player of the season. Just needs to get back to his best.

          • dilly May 24, 2018 at 11:27 pm

            Lazio: Midfiielder, Milinkovic-Savic, 23

      • Nick May 24, 2018 at 11:27 pm

No Martial if bale comes 🎉🎉woo hoo 🎉🎉

  • Dilly May 24, 2018 at 11:17 pm

IMO 3 of the most spectacular Spurs signings were:-
    Ardilles and Villa and
Klinsmann aboard Lord Sugars luxury boat!

  • Northstand Nutter May 24, 2018 at 11:15 pm

I can believe his Missus might have been looking at real estate but not Bale, not in the week before the CL final. And if so, why haven’t we seen the pics of him grasping his Sleazyjet boarding tickets c/o one Daniel Levy splashed across the redtops?

    • SeattleSpursGuy May 24, 2018 at 11:19 pm

It doesn’t say when he was looking at houses beyond ‘recently’

  • Andrew May 24, 2018 at 11:12 pm

We need bale to score the winner in Saturday, then announce to the world that he has re signed for spurs.
    Awesome.

    • Gloster1861 May 24, 2018 at 11:14 pm

      Some of this…

      • Gloster1861 May 24, 2018 at 11:15 pm

        Blimey, Homo sapiens meets Australopithecus…

  • East Stand May 24, 2018 at 11:07 pm

A classic Levy idea this, rather than spend money just forget what’s outstanding and take the goods back, if slightly shop soiled.

Work out the shirt sales and bingo, it’s a zero net-spend dream…

    • East Stand May 24, 2018 at 11:08 pm

      Masquerading as a ‘big’ transfer…

    • Gloster1861 May 24, 2018 at 11:08 pm

      You old cynic. 😁

      • East Stand May 24, 2018 at 11:11 pm

In fact it was Joe’s idea…

Levy is Baldrick to Uncle Joe’s Black Adder… “a plan so cunning…” etc.

        • Aussie in Switzerland May 25, 2018 at 10:02 am

          Are we the turnips?

  • Gloster1861 May 24, 2018 at 11:07 pm

There were rumours Bale had bought a house last month.

  • Sniper May 24, 2018 at 11:06 pm

I think there’s a typo in the post.
It was mean’t to say that a certain Gupta Patel was being shown around North London hovels.

  • James147 May 24, 2018 at 11:04 pm

If Bale came back he’d have to trade down his Rover 800 for a Mini-Metro.

    • Accy May 24, 2018 at 11:05 pm

          • Aussie in Switzerland May 25, 2018 at 10:14 am

            Ahh even

      • James147 May 24, 2018 at 11:08 pm

        It’s called a Rover Metro now…

  • Andrew May 24, 2018 at 10:59 pm

With bale in the team we could well win the premier league, that’s why I don’t believe it.
Please do not build our hopes up H.
I couldn’t take it if he joined cheatski or gooners .
    I would stop watching football.

    • Gloster1861 May 24, 2018 at 11:02 pm

The odds would tumble. HH is giving us the chance to place a punt before the news breaks.

  • Gloster1861 May 24, 2018 at 10:58 pm

Bale has bought Spurs from ENIC and will be the first ever player/chairman.

    • East Stand May 24, 2018 at 10:59 pm

      That would be awesome…

      • gus May 24, 2018 at 11:00 pm

Free bananas and deep heat for everyone!!

        • East Stand May 24, 2018 at 11:01 pm

Oranges at half time, “jumpers for goalposts” etc.

    • gus May 24, 2018 at 10:59 pm

Are we a feeder club for RM again?

      • Sniper May 24, 2018 at 11:00 pm

        Special relationship, don’t you know….

  • East Stand May 24, 2018 at 10:58 pm

North London? Bale must be joining Woolworths, the’ve just bagged Urinal Empty and DD is convinced that they will be resurgent…

  • dilly May 24, 2018 at 10:57 pm

2 weeks of compiling my weekly list of Spurs targets and reached number 46.
    List 2 published tomorrow!

    • East Stand May 24, 2018 at 10:59 pm

      Oh, I can’t wait…

      • Sniper May 24, 2018 at 10:59 pm

        Be sure to include Eusebio

        • East Stand May 24, 2018 at 11:00 pm

Stick Pele in while you’re at it…

          • Sniper May 24, 2018 at 11:01 pm

            Now you’re just being silly.

            Maradonna perhaps tho

            • East Stand May 24, 2018 at 11:02 pm

Who else was/is good at football? I think that’s the criteria rather than anything informed, but there you go!

              • Gloster1861 May 24, 2018 at 11:04 pm

                Denis Law.

                • East Stand May 24, 2018 at 11:10 pm

                  Dennis The Menace?

    • dilly May 24, 2018 at 11:22 pm

      Now reached 50 targets!

  • Sniper May 24, 2018 at 10:53 pm

Have you got your nipple pierced to match the Davina McColl has?

If Bale were to suddenly hove into view at the New Destination (TM acknowledged) I shall be more than surprised. It would be a master-stroke to distract the masses and sell tickets (for a couple of seasons only).
Meanwhile, we need to keep up on the debt payments.
I see a similar period of regression post-stadium move the same as the other lot up the road.

    • Gloster1861 May 24, 2018 at 10:56 pm

So Martial was a distraction, a cunning ploy to deceive the sweaty reptiles?

      • Sniper May 24, 2018 at 10:58 pm

The prospect of Martial simply doesn’t have me reaching for my Visa card to book a seat for the new drum

  • Andrew May 24, 2018 at 10:52 pm

That would be so un spursy if he was to join.

  • gus May 24, 2018 at 10:50 pm

We can’t afford to pay the boy’s wages, unless he’s coming back and playing for cheaps

    • SeattleSpursGuy May 24, 2018 at 10:52 pm

Either that, or we’re fielding 7 players next season.

    • Lilywhite without the II May 24, 2018 at 10:53 pm

offer him 90% of shirt sales plus 120k a week and huge bonus, job done…

    • Gloster1861 May 24, 2018 at 10:53 pm

Bale is getting paid in ENIC shares?

    • Sniper May 24, 2018 at 10:55 pm

Perhaps Bale has done a stadium naming rights deal?

      The Bale Bowl.

      • SeattleSpursGuy May 24, 2018 at 10:56 pm

        The Monkey Palace

        • Sniper May 24, 2018 at 10:58 pm

          Ape Arena

      • TyredMan 🚯 May 25, 2018 at 12:07 am

        Simiandome

  • Paddio May 24, 2018 at 10:49 pm

The cheese room must be getting so great welsh goats cheese and we need a player to really help close that massive deal

  • Gloster1861 May 24, 2018 at 10:48 pm

    RecaroN17
    Do we need him?

Bale is switching games. He’s gonna be a quarter back. Hence the muscle.

  • Andrew May 24, 2018 at 10:48 pm

    Sorry, le arse

  • Andrew May 24, 2018 at 10:48 pm

So bale is joining me arse.???

    • gus May 24, 2018 at 10:49 pm

LOL I thought that for a moment

  • gus May 24, 2018 at 10:48 pm

When he’s good he’s very good. But when he’s crocked……

  • Gloster1861 May 24, 2018 at 10:47 pm

How many houses did Bale buy? I imagine he can afford an entire road in N17…

I’m surprised the players don’t live outside the M25 corridor in leafy Hertfordshire.

    • gus May 24, 2018 at 10:48 pm

Maybe Bale is taking a leaf out of DL’s book and getting into property investment?

      • Gloster1861 May 24, 2018 at 10:52 pm

He could buy Caldicot castle and go back to Wales. Not too far by helicopter. There’s a local chappie in a nearby 17th century mansion on the banks of the Severn who commutes to London by helicopter from his lawn.

  • Lilywhite without the II May 24, 2018 at 10:35 pm
