A Call For Some Flipping’ Calm

By The Boy -

Good evening you, the crumbling demographic.

Look, it was a mistake that our boys went out there at all.

This isn’t anti-ENIC spin, rather a deduction an modest/adequately educated 10-year-old could reach.

Watching the game on Premier Player (a big thank you to my man Josh Fordham for making that happen) it was clear that all the anticipated fears were made real.

Real Madrid vs Tottenham Hotspur today was an ill advised marketing exercise.

Frustrations in players is not something one seeks to nurture. Yet Lamela, Kane and the boy Bonzo both will have left impartial observers with the nagging feeling that Spurs aren’t quite up to the task, nor are they particularly graceful in defeat.

Social media revealed the impatience of those who were simply watching, opposed to having to actually play Real Madrid!

I’ve never been a huge advocate of Michel Vorm, but is there really any need to conduct a living autopsy on a man battling against one of the world’s greatest sides?

The goodly and wise people organising the Audi Cup …they only let Spurs participate; any complaints need to be entirely directed toward those who accepted the invitation.

These games were not earned by this squad. They were inflicted.

To which end, chastising any of the Spurs players involved really ought be curbed, if only in the name of sanity.
