It would appear push has come to shove between Mauricio Pochettino and Daniel Levy.

The loss at West Bromwich Albion was perceived internally as another example of dubious sloppiness.

In what is a rather surreal plot twist; Gladys tells me that the Bald Weirdo has rounded on Poch with the old, ‘you said all the players were happy, but they don’t look happy?’ one…

All transfer dealings and general discussions are in a state of hiatus until the final league placings are confirmed.

Daniel Levy has fired out a ‘I see I need to recalculate, should Champions League football be in jeopardy’, type call.

Man management with a cattle prod.

Additionally, there’s increasingly little evidence to suggest that the deals Poch hoped Daniel were working on in January ever existed – certainly Poch is unaware of any agreements ‘in the bank’.

This is not the closure to the season anyone wanted and word from Glad is that the feel good factor has well and truly expired.

A respectable season that turned into a face saving exercise.

any company run by accountants will always fail and spurs will never suceed until we use money properly.
Sassoka was a disgraceful waste of money because somebody else wanted him.

The stench of a property development business pretending to run a football club permeates this club from the very top down. It eats into the will to win of the players ENICs fear of the project ( which Is simply a billion pound buy out
For Lewis and Levy ) going tits up may force their hand. The property development returns are now dependant on a successful football team.Poochs reputation is now dependant on winning something. There is an increasing requirement to dispense with the old tired model of paying less than the market requires and trading players to fund new transfers.ENICneed to fill the stadium. The supporters are tiring of the project yarn. They need success. The gamble is can ENIC sustain the mirage long enough to find a suitor or will they have to invest to add football success to the package on offer.Part of me wants us to miss out on a CL placing just to flush out ENIC and Pooch from behind this P.R. wall of constant deceit they feed the supporters whose revenue oils their engine. This is a club that has a playing and coaching staff who have no belief in what they are doing. They and their agents can read Levy like a book and images of Bonzo bouncing up and down holding the EPL Championship title whilst tripling his wages in hi s first season of leaving just confirms to them that the grass is much greener with clubs that actually want to win. Beating Newcastle and Leicester is no given and the Chavs and Conte can’t smell “spursey” blood.

        No thanks!

My sole remit with my videos was always to avoid (as much as possible) being someone that would seen as an embarrassing c*nt.

That Spurred on TV with ‘Barnaby’ and ‘Rupert’ etc was a shambles in pursuit of ‘fan engagement’ they could put in front of a sponsor.

Arsenal TV is something I can’t comment freely upon as I would be arrested for hate speech, racism and more.

Liverpool will be sweating more then us right now, they have one game left against a Brighton side unbeaten in their last few against us, Manure and Burnley away.
The Chavs have Huddersfield at home Wednesday who held Man Shitty away yesterday and by all accounts deserved something out of the game, they will likely need a point to stay up, this will not be easy for the Chavy Cnuts.
Newcastle are safe and the players should have there beach bags packed ready for the summer hols, we will be fired up with a decent turn out crowd wise we should be good for a win, although a draw and win against Leicester would be enough lets bash em both up and finish in a bit of style with Harry Kane bagging 2/3 over the two games.
    Keep it Tottenham.

    • Accy May 7, 2018 at 10:10 am

Kane looks to be totally off the pace. It’s like the last few years didn’t;t happen. The nervy goal clearance against West Brom which forced a save form Hugo. A couple of misses and a slip in the penalty box. Generally not pressing as hard as he usually does. I think he’s terrified of not making the world cup and/or is still carrying the injury.

    • Gloster1861 May 7, 2018 at 10:36 am

I’d be happier beating Newcastle and then only needing the draw with Leicester.

The maths shows a nightmare scenario is possible with all three clubs on 72 points going into Sunday’s finale.

There is no way Poch would of wanted low-rent or sissoko so not sure how he can start to blame him…Levy wants Breakfast at Tiffany’s but only wants to pay greasy spoon prices…the blokes a cunt..
Yet again we had the chance with a wonderful young squad with a togetherness to win something that just needed some experience players added but he starts to dismantle it as per usual. We deserve Europa football, thats probably our level if we are honest, only problem is we won’t play to win it….

    • Sexy Beast May 7, 2018 at 9:53 am

After we beat Chelsea and went so far ahead of them, you might have thought that was CL nailed on for us.
Instead, they haven’t lost since and we appear to have taken our eye off the ball.
I guess their players are playing for a place in the cup final team, they can’t be playing for Conte who will be gone come the end of the season.
Still think we have enough in the tank to finish fourth, if we don’t I suspect the fall out will be huge.

Fakinel, we need to win 2 “home” games and we get third. But we all know that probably won’t happen. If it does, great – good pl season.
The issue of signing wage specific players is a problem and we need to give the latest guy moura a chance but just know he’s gonna be a waste of 25m (but he falls into the new “25m is the new 15m category and affordable wages for spurs).
It’s so predictable – we needed to sign a tevez in the redknapp era in January to push on – but we went cheap – there are too many examples unfortunately

Its crackers that even after this monumental effort to fuck it all up, all we need to do is get 4 points from 2 ‘home’ matches. Chelsea have gone all out to make this opportunity for us. Its almost impossible to fail.

  • Gloster1861 May 6, 2018 at 10:53 pm

Right. Two games, six points. Do they want to play in the Champions League or not? It’s up to Pochettino and the players, it really is.

    Bottom line. Winners, or losers?

    • David Dillenberg May 6, 2018 at 10:55 pm

Much hinges on the return of form of Harry Kane, otherwise where are the goals coming from?

      • Gloster1861 May 6, 2018 at 11:09 pm

Son, Dele, Eriksen. So long as we aren’t carrying Harry Kane as a passenger. Everyone needs to know who’s doing what out there on the pitch and it isn’t helped by Kane shuffling aimlessly about searching for his Mojo.

      • East Stand May 7, 2018 at 12:21 am

Stick him on the bench, we actually played quite well when he was out injured. It changed our attack but changed it and freshened it up.

To answer your question, the goals can come from elsewhere…

‘Burnley manager Sean Dyche says having nothing to play for affected his side as they lost 5-0 at Arsenal.’

But what away to sign off though Auntie!!

    • baz May 6, 2018 at 10:26 pm

There were a few cracking results today

  • TyredMan 🚯 May 6, 2018 at 10:16 pm

Tight race for second place or fifth.

  • Tappaspur May 6, 2018 at 10:13 pm

We’ve won the third highest amount of games and spent chump change. Just saying.

    • East Stand May 6, 2018 at 10:16 pm

Exactly, 4th not bad for 7th highest spend. I mean 5th wouldn’t be bad either come to think of it!

      • David Dillenberg May 6, 2018 at 10:18 pm

        5th = failure. End of.

        • East Stand May 6, 2018 at 10:20 pm

          On what basis?

          • Camus May 6, 2018 at 10:22 pm

            The death of the project.
            Players leaving.
“We’re building nothing, just going backwards…”

            • East Stand May 6, 2018 at 10:25 pm

              Who said that Camus?

              • David Dillenberg May 6, 2018 at 10:26 pm

Poch has had 4 years. What is the end game?

                • East Stand May 6, 2018 at 10:30 pm

ENIC have had 17 years and 10 managers and one League Cup ten years ago, what’s their game?

                  • TyredMan 🚯 May 6, 2018 at 10:31 pm

                    Money.

                    • David Dillenberg May 6, 2018 at 10:31 pm

                      Happy days!!

          • David Dillenberg May 6, 2018 at 10:24 pm

Assuming he had some targets at the start of the season presumably Poch’s own confession failing to meet objective of satisfying Levy’s requirement of CL football.

  • East Stand May 6, 2018 at 10:02 pm

Poch mentioned that he expected “a few” deals to be done in January and for some players to be secured ahead of the summer etc. He got Moura.

Mitchell may have been the beginning of this disappointment in ENIC’S levels of ambition. He obviously didn’t see eye to eye with Levy, Mitchell was handed a gagging order along with his pay off. One day it will all come out but he’s clearly been paid for his silence…

    • Camus May 6, 2018 at 10:04 pm

      Did he really say that?
Wasn’t it along the lines of the usual “Maybe we buy a few player… Maybe no one…” which is entirely non-committal?

      • East Stand May 6, 2018 at 10:10 pm

I seem to remember he intimated that he expected more activity, certainly getting deals done for the summer. Unless some were agreed under the radar it seems nothing of the sort happened.

  • East Stand May 6, 2018 at 9:51 pm

It’s all about player quality now. Either hanging on to the quality we have or adding more without needing to clear the decks of existing quality to facilitate it.

Levy still seems to be dining out on the VDV ‘capture’ which for some reason hailed him in some quarters as some kind of transfer genius or whiz kid. I still don’t understand why he garnered this so called reputation based on one transfer deal about even years ago.

VDV was damaged goods, he couldn’t train properly and Madrid wanted him out the door and no doubt compensated his wages at Spurs with a large pay off got the player to make the deal happen.

Levy, despite this supposed reputation is not very good in the transfer market, if he was we wouldn’t be saddled with endless mediocre Eurotrash like Sissy, Aurier who let’s be honest are only the latest in along line of these ‘shrewd’ signings.

I can’t see where the activity in the transfer market that will obtain upgrades to what we have will come from, or where the willingness to pay the players we want to keep the going rate will come from.

Unless ENIC are suddenly set for a change of heart or we get new owners, we are going nowhere fast…

  • richspurs May 6, 2018 at 9:34 pm

Poch is a good manager. He aint great. His biggest problem is his failure to crack the whip during the match when things are not going our way. I know we have Levy haters aplenty, but I do believe Levy has done his best and backed Pocho in the market, cue 42m smackeroos for an untried Sanchez.
Pocho has had his chances, maybe one more year. I doubt we will win anything. We may just get lucky.
If we fail to qualify for CL, from where we were 10 points ahead of Chelski, i believe Pochom is not worthy of continuing.

    • East Stand May 6, 2018 at 10:14 pm

4th with the 7th highest net spend isn’t cutting it, also without home ground?

Wow, I expect you’ve got someone shit hot in mind to replace him with then? Someone shit hot who’ll work with the old 7th highest budget thingy? Nice, let me know who that is…

  • Paddio May 6, 2018 at 9:26 pm

Form has dropped since it was announced that some one got a 53% pay rise 2 days after we beat Chelsea and we say we have a pay structure. Culture of any business starts from the top down but I’m guessing this didn’t get thrown back in that conversation

    • East Stand May 6, 2018 at 10:19 pm

You’re guessing right. Levy, certainly leading by example there…

  • DAVID May 6, 2018 at 9:21 pm

Poch and the players need to raise their game for 2 more games, at Wembley, against 2 teams who have nothing to play for and are pretty poor.
If they can’t do that and we don’t make top 4,I wouldn’t be surprised if Levy started sharpening his knives.

    • East Stand May 6, 2018 at 9:55 pm

      Sharpening his knives?

I wonder what Levy would be doing if Poch got us 7th which is the level to which ENIC have invested? Poch is a lucky boy, the sack would be a blessed relief for the poor sod…

      • DAVID May 6, 2018 at 10:37 pm

He could always walk if life under Levy was that bad.
Perhaps he will or maybe life at Spurs isn’t as bad as some imagine.
It’s his biggest job so far, maybe it’s the best he can get at the moment.

  • Camus May 6, 2018 at 9:05 pm

It’s not looking too clever from the outside. There are only 2 games left and Poch is knocking out some bobbins quotes about “I think we need to do X…”

No top 4 now would be a disaster.

It’s starting to smell like all is not right and players (and possibly Poch too) are restless/unhappy. Watching Kyle Walker’s PL winner celebrations won’t have helped one bit.

    • aristotle May 6, 2018 at 9:14 pm

If Spurs can’t get 4 points from two games against Newcastle and Leicester they don’t deserve to be in the Champions League. Two wins sees us finish third at least. Two defeats for United and we finish runners up. However; should we lose to Newcastle and the blue scum win against Huddersfield we will be snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

I think 1 draw and 1 win is the most likely outcome with Spurs finishing where they are now.

      • East Stand May 6, 2018 at 10:11 pm

        Probably.

  • aristotle May 6, 2018 at 8:45 pm

    first?
